After a brief battle with Leukemia, it is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Josef (Joe) Gardisch on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. By his side was his beloved wife of 54 years, Lydia. He was a young 77 and enjoyed an active and full life. He spent his years working hard, raising a wonderful family, introducing them to the amazing wonders of travel including trips throughout Canada, U.S., and Europe, and providing his wife, children and grandchildren with many cherished memories.
Joe had a long career as a technical illustrator - most notably with AECL - before retiring to the Parry Sound area and beautiful Georgian Bay almost 20 years ago. As a skilled artist and painter of landscapes and flowers, he shared his talents with the Fran Rutke Art Group and for many years, volunteered with the Friends of Killbear Park in various capacities. When not in the garden, he could usually be found in the workshop, working on his latest carpentry project.

My prayer to you
Please dear God
Take her hand
Walk her into
The promise land
Hold her close
And calm her fears
Let her know
No need for tears
Ups, and downs
All of her life
Was a great wife
Two daughters has she
Who love her dear
She was great mom
We weep our tears
The day will come
We both sit down
A share a memory
And not frown
We will see you
Waiting for us
At heavens gate
Until then we
We will think of you
And all the good
That made you you
Will reflect back
The love you had
She loved the word
And critters too
Sick and dying
She thinks of you
To fight the fight
In her eyes we see
Her dimming light
At peace she is
A better place
Her Angels face
Her wings she earned
To soar above
Loving and kind
And shared her love
Rise high into
The heavens above.
Wait for us
We will surely come
Maybe not now
Or just some time
We'll all be there
By your side
Love you always mom

"We lost a legend last night. Life passing on is never an easy thing for
anyone I believe. My Grandpa Dudas was not only my favorite golf partner
but he was also a great friend. He was a "mans-man". He loved to work
outside and had used many pieces of wood that he had found from his
travels in the outdoors to make furniture and other crafty pieces of
art. He was generous and kind, really an easy person to love. I am going
to miss him in every way. One of my fondest memories of him was this summer at my wedding. While I was seating the mothers and
Grandmothers he caught my eye and didn't just whisper some encouragement
to me he basically yelled it. He said " good luck Jackson", right out
loud. It made everyone laugh but he didn't care, he had something he
wanted to say, so he said it. I loved this about him, not a care in the
world what other people thought of him. Such a beauty. I find hope and
joy in Romans 8:28, And we know that for those who love God all things
work together for good, for those who are called according to his
purpose." What a great promise, praise Jesus. #R.I.P #heavenisforreal I will see you again grandpa, love you." ~ Jackson Kuhn ~
