                           November 27, 1931 ~ June 25, 2015

 

 

Peacefully after a lengthy illness at Lakeland Long Term Care in her 84th year with her family and friends by her side.  Beloved wife of the late John Price.  Loving Mother of Robert (Marg) of Winnipeg, Jackie (William) Mann of Parry Sound, Paul (Shirley) of Collingwood, Owen of Parry Sound and Diane (Ernie) Campbell of Collingwood.  Cherished sister of Diane (Joe) Toth of Collingwood, and Dennis (late Doris) Edwards of Stayner.  She will be dearly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.  The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and all the staff at Lakeland for all their care and support.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of life will take place at a later date.  If desired, donations to the Lakeland Long Term Care  would be appreciated by the family. 

 

                              

 

 

 

   Claudette Lefebvre nee Pelletier

 

Peacefully at Lakeland Long Term Care on Wednesday April 8, 2015 in her 70th year.  Dear Daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian Pelletier.  Survived by her son Aurelle  Joe.  Fondly remembered by her twin Claude Pelletier (Pat), her Sisters Yvonne Langevin, Elaine Vivit, Cecile Reitsma, and her Brothers Emile (Joan), Raymond (Jean), Roger and Aurelle.  She is predeceased by her Brothers Larry (Lorraine), Philip (Eleanor), Cyril (Bernice) and Gerald.  She will be lovingly remembered by all her many nieces and nephews.  A very special thank you to the staff at Lakeland Long Term Care for their care and support.  Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial service to take place on Monday June 29th at Lakeland Long Term Care at 11 AM.  Donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

 August 28, 1920 ~  June 15, 2015

  

After a lengthy illness at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Monday June 15, 2015 in his 95th year.  Predeceased by his wife Jessie.  Sadly missed by his partner Marian Stoneman.  Loving father of Nancy Emerson (late Aubrey) (Alf Crisp).  Reg Fisher, Richard Fisher (Shirley).  Fondly remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sisters Evelyn Ferguson and Mary Mullen.  Also remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound) on Friday June 19th, 2015 from 12 PM – 1 PM.  The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday June 19, 2015 at 1 PM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre – Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.

   April 22, 1947 – May 16, 2015

 

Peacefully at home with his beloved Gina Green by his side.  Loving father of George and John, and brother Gerry.  Retired member of the Royal Canadian Navy.  Cremation has taken place.  The Funeral Service to be held at the Salvation Army, 61 Gibson St., Parry Sound, at 1 PM on June 25, 2015.  If desired, donations to the Salvation Army or Harvest Share Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. 

 

                                

 

 

     Autumn (Judy) Chapman

 

    February 20, 1935  ~  May 30, 2015

 

Peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Saturday May 30, 2015 at the age of 80.  Beloved wife of Jim.  Loving mother of JoAnne Richards (Bruce) of Parry Sound, James Chapman (Lorna) of Burlington.  Cherished grandmother of Laura Richards, Joel Chapman, Erin Chapman.  Remembered by her brother George Johnston (Charlotte).  Predeceased by her sister Kristine Jahelka and her brother Jim Kendall.  Also remembered and missed by her in laws Roy Jahelka, Elphie Kendall, Valerie Carlson and all her nieces, nephews and extended family.  Judy will be missed by all her special critters.  Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Torrance Funeral Home. (89 Bowes St Parry Sound).  The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the home of Bruce and JoAnne from 1 – 3 PM.  If desired, donations to the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary or the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

  July 25, 1956  ~  May 29, 2015

 

Suddenly at home in his 59th year.  Beloved husband and best friend of Fawn.  Dedicated father of Nathaniel (Meemo), Hannah (Pudgy) and Doris (Ducky).  Papa to Elliot.  Survived by his siblings Ila, Vern, Raymond, Rosemarie, Marlene, Sylvia, and Eddie.  Predeceased by his parents Violet and Carl Hewett.  Harvey will be dearly missed by his best friend and little brother Allan.  Also missed by his many friends and extended family. Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound) on Monday June 1, 2015 from 7 – 9 PM.  The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at 12 Noon.  Cremation to follow.  If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

   February 8, 1957 – May 23, 2015

 

After a brief illness at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Saturday May 23, 2015 at the age of 58.  Loving father of Charlee – Ann Gingrich (Greg).  Cherished grandfather of Simon and Joel.  Brother of John Flood.  He will be sadly missed by all his close friends. Passed peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health Centre on Friday May 22, 2015 at the age of 77.    Beloved husband of Eva.  Loving dad of Nicole (Steph), Greg (Chrissy), Teresa (Mike).  Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Rachel, Destiny, Krystal, Kayla, Shane, Brittny and Jade.  Great  grandfather of Noah.  Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family.   Earl Norrie

 February 9, 1922 ~ May 18, 2015

Passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged on Monday May 18, 2015 in his 94th year.  Earl was the last of the Alex and Clara Norrie Family.  Loving husband of the late Dorothy.  Loving father of Gail Shurr (late LeVerne), Gaye and his wife Elizabeth, and Mike and his wife Leslie.  Loving grandfather “Bubba” to 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged for their kindness and care.  Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound) on Thursday May 28th from 7 – 9 PM.  The Funeral service will be held at the Parry Sound Pentecostal Tabernacle on Friday May 29, 2015 at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM.  Interment Sylvan Acres Cemetery.  If desired, donations to the Village of Hope (care of PSPT), or to Belvedere Heights Home of the Aged would be appreciated by the family.

March 25, 1937 – May 13, 2015

 

Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at the age of 78.  Beloved husband of the late Anita.  Cherished father of Diana, Lisa and Susan.  Treasured Opa to his 8 Grandchildren.  Survived by his brother Fred (Irene).  He will be missed by his many friends and family.  Cremation has taken place.  If desired, donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre foundation would be appreciated by the family.

 

 

                                

 

 

 

                                             

Howell – Gideon Gregory

A mighty warrior called home to soon. Gideon was born at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto on February 25, 2014 and marched to the beat of his own drum. Gideon loved playing in the bath and eating apples, peaches, and apricots. He also enjoyed music, guitar being his favourite. He was a pillar of strength and an inspiration to everyone.

Gideon passed peacefully in the arms of his mother, surrounded by his loving family at Victoria Hospital, London On Thursday May 7, 2015. Gideon’s memory lives on through his parents Jaclyn & Chris, big sister Persephone. Grandparents June & Paul Goodfellow, John & Cathy Howell and Colleen Howell. Predeceased by Grandpa Gregory Moore (2001). Gideon will be remembered by the countless people he inspired every day.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Gideon’s life will be held at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 67 King Street, Burford on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford followed by a time of community at the church hall. Elwin Smith

October 19, 1927 ~ May 2, 2015

 

Peacefully at home on Saturday May 2, 2015 at the age of 87.  Beloved husband of Dale of 38 years.  Cherished father of Laurie Ann, Darrel “Darby”, and Andrew.   Also remembered by his children from his first marriage; Donna, Dale, John, Kelly, Della and Judy. Predeceased by his sons Barry and Doug.  Proud grandfather of 7.  Survived by his brother Verne and predeceased by his eldest brother Burton.  He will be dearly missed by his best friend Bruce.  Elwin will be missed by his sister in laws, brother in laws, many extended family and his dear friend “Bubbles”. Peacefully after a well fought battle on Saturday April 25, 2015 at the West Parry Sound Health Centre at the age of 51.  Loving wife of Don DeGrow.  Cherished mother of Ken, Dan, and Marie.  Remembered by her sister Marj Henning (John).  Cremation has taken place.  The Memorial service is to be held at the Dunchurch Community Centre on Saturday May 2, 2015 from     1 – 4 PM.   Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.

Peacefully on Monday April 20, 2015 at Belvedere Heights at the age of 88.  Dear wife of the late John.  Loving and devoted mother of Ian (Cheryl) and Barry (Val).  Cherished Grandmother of Jennifer (Ian) and Megan. Cherished sister of  Peter Barr (Margaret), Betty Charleton (late Harry) and Helen McKenna (Bill).  Predeceased by Jack Barr (late Pam), Joe Barr, May      (John) Guichan and Margaret Barr.  Fondly remembered by her sister in law Janet Barr.        BYWATER, Fynn Alasdair

(October 14, 2008 to April 14, 2015). 

 

A strong, passionate, beautiful and thoughtful little boy, filled with wonder and potential, Fynn filled his world with smiles, laughter and goodness.

Beloved son of Margaret Isabelle Wallace and best friend of father David Scott Bywater. Adored grandson of Jan and Phil Bywater, and the late Wendy and Alasdair Wallace.  Forever cherished by Nicola and Shane, Elizabeth and family.  Admired friend, mentor, and “Fynnie-Binny” to cousins Zev and Amaia.  Gentle friend to schoolmates at Humphrey Public School.

Born in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Fynn embraced his six and a half years with an adventuresome spirit.  Before setting foot in Canada in his second year, he experienced more nations, cultures and cuisines than most people do in a lifetime.

Fynnie was a reader, wooden-block architect, chef, master Lego builder, artist, tree-fort pirate- ship captain, sandbox dump-truck driver, nature enthusiast, dock-jumping cannon-baller, singer and drummer, treasure hunter extraordinaire, giggling bedtime-dancer and super snuggler. Fynn endeared himself to virtually everyone whose life he touched; strangers on travels, his extended family, the White Squall family, and close friends in the Parry Sound area.   His smile and infectious giggle warmed the hearts of all he met.

Fynnie, your sudden and tragic death has left us all reeling. You skipped into our lives and hearts and enriched our world in countless ways we will never forget.  We’ll forever hold you in our minds, in our dreams and in our memories.  Keep on dancing, love, to your Sky Full of Stars. We love you so much.

A celebration of Fynn’s life will be held from 1:30 – 3:30pm on Sunday April 26th at the Seguin Valley Golf Club, 144 Badger Road, Seguin, ON P2A 2W8. A brief remembrance will occur at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers,  memorial donations may be made to the Fynn Bywater Outdoor Explorers Fund, a fund to encourage outdoor exploration and play. Donations can be made by cheque to the "West Parry Sound District Museum- earmarked for the Fynn Bywater Fund” and you will be provided a charitable receipt.
