Peacefully on Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Lakeland Long Term Care in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Mae. Loving father of Lynda Barker and her husband Mark, Gail Buurman and her husband Hank, Mike Roberts and his wife Suzanne. Cherished by his 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his brother Ben Roberts and his wife Shirley of Foots Bay, and his sister June Blain and her husband Bill of Calgary. A Graveside Service will take place in the Glen Orchard Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Torrance Funeral Home and Chapel (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound). Peacefully on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at the West Parry Sound Health Centre in her 64th year. Beloved wife of the late Newman. Loving mother of Bonnie Harrison and her husband Lawrence. Cherished grandmother of Tyson and Kiana. Fondly remembered by her sisters Ida (Dave), Velma (Max), Isabel (Raymond), Laura (Alex) and her brothers Orlando (Lily), Frank (Dolores), George, Russell (Rose), Garfield (Susan), Jim (Laura) and Robert. Peacefully at Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged on March 26, 2009 in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo. Loving mother of Paula Newton (Wayne), Peter Boudreault, Betty Jean, John Boudreault (Maxine), Debbie Haskim, and Teena Hewitt (Norm). Cherished by her grandchildren Chad, Amanda, Serena, Travis, Brian, Sean, Cody, Jeremy, Ethan, Breann, and her great-granddaughter Lexi. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. After a lengthy illness at his home on Tuesday March 17, 2009 in his 71st year. Beloved husband of the late Thelma. Loving father of Cameron, Jamie and his wife Melinda. Cherished by his grandchildren Nicholas, Amanda, Jamie Jr., Kyle and great granddaughter Victoria. Survived by his siblings Betty Levoy and her husband Vern, Bill Jackson and his wife Gail, Gail Mullen and her late husband Calvin, Danny Jackson and his wife Lois, Paul Jackson and his wife Sharon. Loving father of Ken, Sandra MacKay, Morrie and his wife Louise; and step-children Carol Krauseneck and her husband Tom, and Pat Elliott and her husband Jim. Fondly remembered by his sisters Joyce Clark, Betty Valiquitte, and Elaine Leonard. Cherished by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. After a short battle on Sunday March 1, 2009 at the West Parry Sound Health Centre in her 51st year. Dear daughter of John and the late Julieann Dorion. Lovingly remembered by Sean, Tom and her daughters Nicole Wood and her husband Chris, and Vanessa. Loving Nana of Ethan and Emma. Cherished sister of Paul Dorion and his wife Tamie, Lisa Dorion, Bob and his wife Luanne Dorion. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Robert George Green August 29, 1923 ~ February 25, 2009

The family of Robert Green regrets to announce his passing on Wednesday February 25, 2009 in his 86th year. He was predeceased by his parents Frederick John Green and Elizabeth Thompson; his sister Ida, brothers John, Charlie and Ernie; and by his wife Margaret Gougeon. Robert started his working career with the C.P.R. at the age of 16; retiring 43 years later. When Robert wasn’t playing trains he enjoyed hunting, fishing, time spent with his family and looking at the humorous side of life. Since retiring he enjoyed taking trips to B.C., Arizona, Portugal and other warm places; but he was always happy to be home in Foot’s Bay.

In addition to his loving wife Julie (Lecours) of Foot’s Bay, he is survived by his son John (Diane) of Burlington and his daughter Shari Smith (Terry) of Orrville; stepchildren Jocelyne Hamel (Phil) of Vancouver, Ray Hamel (Cheryl) of Langton, Elaine Hamel (Dave) of Sechelt B.C. and Mark Hamel (Toby) of Chapleau. He will be missed by his grandchildren Réanne, Tyler, Amélie, Meagan, Shawn, Jarret, Patrick, Annika, Devin, Cole and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his sister Doris of Orillia. Throughout Robert’s life he touched many lives with his friendliness and generosity. He will be truly missed. The family wishes to extend a warm thank you to the great staff at Lakeland Long Term Care and the wonderful people who are involved with the Alzheimer’s Society. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St., Parry Sound) on Friday March 6, 2009 from 7 – 9 PM. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 7, 2009 at 11 AM in the Chapel.
